When was it created?
Well, here’s some history!
Nissin, a Japanese food company founded in the 1950’s, debuted their very own original cup noodle 20 years later in 1971.
A process of adding Styrene and encapsulating the entire package within the cup helps the food to maintain its flavor. The packaging, in which all ramen noodles are stored, was at the time, used to make both plates and pots! Strong right?!
It’s Just that Good!
The market for this product has significantly expanded and grown over the years. For example, the first noodles to appear on the market were during the sale release in 1972. Approximately 1 million products were sold without a sweat. As the years progressed the sales ceased to slow down. 1973’s sales were around 4 million, and only a year later, the product managed to sell over 7 million containers.1975 marked the year that ramen noodles sold over 10 million products. This delicious treat is not something exclusive to Japan, but has in fact, been loved by the rest of the world!
How do I make it? Eat it?
All you need is access to hot water!
Depending on the specific package that you purchase, preparation time varies slightly. Not to worry however, the average time is only 3 to 5 minutes.
The ingredients of each package vary depending on the flavor and things of the sort.
If you would like to know more about what is in each container, you’ll have to pick one up for yourself! Ingredients are written on the container to help avoid allergic reactions and similar circumstances from occurring.
